SILENCERS TYPE NCS
Specification:
NCS type silencers are combined reactive and absorptive silencers with a high attenuation, approx. 40 dB (A), across the entire frequency range, in combination with limited dimensions. This silencer is optionally available with an integrated spark arrester. The silencers can be mounted in both horizontal and vertical way. Recommended gas velocity max. 60 m/s, maximum temperature 600 °C.
In general, the silencers are manufactured in mild steel (S 235 JR G2) and provided with a black heat resistant silicon coating. The silencers are optionally also available in other material such as stainless steel 304, 316 and 321.
Attenuation silencer (measured on a 6” system):
The pressure drop of the silencer is depending of the exhaust flow (gas velocity) through the silencer.
With the help of below mentioned formula it is easy to calculate the pressure fall.
If required we will give additional detailed information.
In case of strict noise level and/or limited dimensions, it is often not possible to work with a standard silencer.
The know-how of acoustics and flow dynamics of the technical department , enables them to design a silencer for a specific sound- source, which results in a optimum noise reduction for that specific situation.
